Mr. Hélio Faria is the best dance teacher one can ever find. Back in June 2022, I came across his YouTube channel DanceFunFitness - the tutorials and choreographies were really easy to follow for complete beginners. Over the years I have visited Switzerland to join his classes offline, and it's even more wonderful to follow his classes and workshops in person. He is not only a top professional dancer, but also a community builder who kindly unites dance and fitness lovers, and create radiating positivity among us. I've been in great contact with his students ever since. He is who got me started in dancing, and helped me improve quickly along the way. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Hélio, and I wholeheartedly recommend his amazing teachings!

If you haven't taken a class with Helio yet, you are truly missing out! His classes are on a whole different level; he introduces amazing moves you'd never find in a normal Zumba class, especially with his Afro and Brazilian styles. Even when the choreos get challenging, he is such a fantastic teacher that he makes them easy to follow by breaking them down step-by-step. Helio's energy is completely infectious; he's always smiling, always in the best mood, and he brings everyone together to create a beautiful sense of community. I totally and highly recommend his classes!

I discovered Helio's Youtube live classes in 2020 during the pandemic and joined an international community of people dancing with him which helped our sanity during the pandemic! I have continued taking his online classes and just got back from meeting and taking classes with him in person in Mallorca (along with two other North American community members I met and travelled with) for the first time after 6 years of online only! Helio is a gem: creative, an excellent teacher, a kind, fun personality. His classes include both more complicated choreography and also easier workout classes which are great fun! He introduced me to dancing to Afrobeats and other African rhythms, in addition to all kinds of Latin, Caribbean and hip-hop dance. I have made friends and connections all over the world through his community! Join us!!!!

Happily found Hélio's Youtube channel in the early Spring 2020 during the global lockdown. His easy-going vibe and positive energy is what makes him unique! You can feel it all thru the TV screen! He's an extremely creative, patient and helpful instructor! He always encourages everyone to show up on Zoom to dance with him too! Being part of his dance community has been life changing! Have met wonderful people who share the same love of dance as me! I consider him a mentor on my dance fitness instructor journey with his teaching techniques and the fact he exposed me to many different musical genres and dance moves, which showcases his talent and knowledge of dance around the world!! 100000% recommend!!

Helio's classes are so much fun and such a great work out! I find myself often waking up to one of the songs playing in my head which puts an immediate spring in my step as I start the day. I had never taken a dance class before and am amazed to find this new experience at 50+! I cannot say it is easy, especially since I am not a very good dancer (more of a soccer player;) but Helio just makes it so incredibly fun and all the great people in class are very welcoming! You have got to give his classes a try!!!

This is the best online dance fitness program ever! I've been following for 6 years and have learned techniques and dance styles, I've never been exposed to before. Helio is a great teacher and really cares about improving your dance fitness while having a great time. If you're interested in Afrobeats, Salsa, Dancehall, Reggaeton or HipHop, please check out his program. You will not regret trying.

His passion, skill, and encouragement are unmatched: simply the best! I can highly recommend and hate if I ever need to skip a class.

I have known Helio for more than 10 years, and all his classes and workshops are always outstanding. I especially love his classes with elements of hip-hop, Afro dance, and Brazilian rhythms.

I also love his sense of humor and friendliness. For me, he is one of the best instructors in Switzerland.

Words hardly do justice to Helio's dance classes. It's an experience you truly have to try and once you get into it, you'll definitely find yourself addicted.

You're not just learning how to dance: With an incredible playlist, every class feels like a night out (pure adrenaline but without the lack of sleep). You get to discover and experience so many different rhythms and styles, all while having an amazing time.

Helio's teaching skills, energy, and presence are truly exceptional and unique. He has a way of making you feel completely immersed in the experience. It's more than a dance class, it's really something you look forward to and want to come back to again and again.

I've been learning from Helio-Faria, all on-line for at least 5 years. I've never been a dancer until now, at the age of 80. Because of Helio, I won't be stopping soon. His mix of musical styles keeps his classes fresh. There is no question about his skill as an instructor. He breaks moves down and patiently repeats and creates the sense we're all on the dance floor together. A bonus is his energy and joy. He inspires great fun along with a sense of accomplishment.

Absolut empfehlenswert!

Thank you Helio for your efforts, good vibes and patience

Helio Faria is one of the best dance teachers in Zurich! His classes will make you sweat, laugh and progress. He teaches Afro, Caribbean and Latino styles to a very welcoming group of dancers of all levels. His method includes high cardio, fun DFF classes which allow you to burn calories while drilling the steps that will then be useful in choreography classes. Importantly, he plays music during the majority of the class which exposes to many cool songs and allows drilling steps on many songs, hence progress! He also regularly invites external international teachers to expose us to different styles, organizes many dance trips, has online dance classes and so much more! Highly recommend his classes!

I've been dancing online with Helio for almost a year now, and I usually schedule my classes for the weekend. The workouts are super fun and really make me shine and sweat. The choreography lessons are a wonderful mental challenge, and I learn something new every time. I've also attended classes with Helio in Mallorca this month. I have great respect for his vast expertise, his energy, and his passion for teaching. I'm over 60 and far from done dancing. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful opportunity.

(English) Helio is a truly wonderful teacher and every class is so much fun! The music is mostly Latin, with lessons in samba, salsa, bachata, afrobeat, hip hop and house. His teaching is clear and easy to follow. With mini-choreography, Zumba and choreography classes, everyone from beginners to advanced can enjoy it. Great for staying healthy, and if you keep at it, your dancing will definitely improve. Worth trying at least once!

Helio's classes are amazing, he's incredibly energetic and truly shares his passion for dance and music in every class. I join his classes in Zumikon. He's always happy, smiling, and creates such a positive atmosphere. You end up burning so many calories without even realizing it, just by having fun and being surrounded by great music and wonderful people. His classes feel like therapy to me, a perfect way to relax, exercise, and improve my dancing skills at the same time. I can only highly recommend his classes!
